Thanks for taking my Church Connections Survey a couple weeks ago. I was happy to see nearly a 50/50 split between church leaders and church participants in the survey results. I want to share with you a few of the key findings from the survey results, including one big surprise. Here we go...
1. Worship and Teaching were the top 2 reasons people come back a second week. Facility and location was at the bottom of the list.
2. Downloading a church’s mobile app is the connection step people are willing to make first. This is before filling out a card or visiting a table or booth.
3. 83% of churches do not have a full-time Connections Pastor and nearly 80% of surveyed churches are under 1,000 people. This tells me a Connections Pastor is a 1,000+ full-time role.
4. A Connections Gathering was the lowest ranking connections strategy for leaders and participants in church.
And yet, here is the most fascinating result from this survey:
Church leaders ranked Give Financially as the last step people are willing to take, while church participants ranked Give Financially as the first step they are willing to take.
How can this be?
